Thorough cleaning can reduce the risk of decay or gum problems starting, or slow the rate they progress at. It also produces fresher breath and a cleaner feel to the teeth and mouth.
Cleaning between your teeth with floss or interdental cleaners removes bacteria and food particles from between the teeth, where a toothbrush can't reach.
It is important to have regular dental check-ups.
