What we Charge....

Plan patients fee levels are 10% less than the private fees listed below, except where laboratory fees are involved, in which case only our component of the fee is reduced 10%.

The insurance component of the Plan covers all but the excess of £15 for an out-of-hours callout.

If an extensive course of treatment is required then the cost of this can be spread over several months by direct debit. Please ask your dentist at the start of treatment if you wish to make use of this facility.

Please note that price lists can only give an indication of the likely cost of treatment. No two fillings are identical.
Your dentist will give you a detailed estimate when a treatment plan is formulated, and even this might have to be changed as the treatment progresses.
If you are unclear please ask and we will endeavour to provide the information or explanation you need.

Fee Scale Outline - April 2007 to March 2008

Oral Health Assessment - £35
This is for a detailed 15 minute examination covering soft tissues, the teeth, restorations, the gums & any dentures

Examination and Scale & Polish £42
This is for an exam as above and a routine scale & polish at the same appointment.

New Patient Consultation £67
This is for a detailed 30 minute examination including any required radiographs. We aim to evaluate all of your teeth and oral structures, diagnose any problems and discuss the ossible treatments required and then formulate the treatment plan.
It is reduced to £40 if a patient signs up for a Plan at the initial visit.

Emergency Consultation £37
This is for a 15 minute appointment to diagnose & resolve any problems.
Another  appointment may well be required.

Bitewing Radiographs £10

Hygienist Visit £42
This is a 30 minute appointment with a hygienist( or 15 minutes with a dentist) for a thorough scaling & polishing and any necessary oral hygiene education

Silver Amalgam Restorations from £63
This is for 1 - 3 surface restorations in silver amalgam. The highest quality alloys are used and the teeth are all lined as required. Any pins required are included

Composite restorations ( White fillings)
Front teeth from £64
Quality materials and state of the art bonding agents are used to restore front teeth to their proper form, colour & function.

Back Teeth from £69
These restorations are time-consuming to do properly using quality materials. They range in size from small pits to entire teeth....  .

Extractions
Simple extraction of a single tooth £ 64
Further extractions are individually priced depending on number and anticipated difficulty.

Dentures

There are many types of crowns, inlays and veneers, each with its specific indications. They are can be ideal for restoring badly damaged teeth or improving the appearance of crooked, discoloured or heavily filled teeth.
Bridges require individual estimates but are in the region of £250 – 375 per tooth involved. and are often the ideal way to restore missing teeth.

Root-Fillings£166 - 290
We are presently using state of the art nickel-titanium rotary instruments to fully prepare canals for root-fillings
Fees vary according to number of roots and complexity. Treatment of teeth that have already been root treated may attract a higher fee. The fee includes restoration of the tooth with a like-for-like material. An additional fee may be charged for tooth-coloured restorations in posterior teeth or where extensive or total replacement is required.
In line with the guidelines announced by the Chief Dental Office on 21/4/07 to reduce the risk of vCJD transmission we have adopted single use of endodontic files and instruments and an additional charge of £30 has been added to cover the increased consumable charge for this.
