If you require emergency treatment please try and contact the reception staff before 10 am to allow the maximum flexibility in arranging an appointment for you.
Appointments are usually necessary as most of our time during the day is fully committed to patient care already. We do leave some times free for emergencies during the day but these times can and do vary. Please bear this in mind when requesting emergency appointments - it takes time to diagnose and treat problems, and we are reluctant to inconvenience those patients who already have appointments made - next time it might be you...
If you require emergency advice or treatment over a weekend or public holiday please phone our answerphone, which will give you a contact number for the emergency dental centre, which is part of a large rota in North Wiltshire. Out-of-hours care of our NHS patients is now the responsibility of the local Primary Care Trust from April 1 2005 and is handled by . The Dental Access Centre is located adjacent to Rowden Hill Hospital in Chippenham, and is open in the mornings only on weekends and bank holidays.
During the week we cover our own emergency rota, so please try not to call before 8.30 am or after 9 pm. Please note that the callout fee for Plan patients is £15, and £90 for private patients.
There is not usually a charge for telephone advice.
Please note we do not normally check the answerphone at night or over the weekend - this is why we provide a mobile telephone number for you to call.
In the event of trauma, or problems in the wee hours, it would be better to call NHS Direct on 0845 4647
